Seven experienced geologists at MP&A were recently licensed as Professional Geoscientists by the Louisiana Board of Professional Geoscientists. Licensing is governed by the Louisiana Professional Geoscience Practice Act 228, which was effective May 28, 2014. The professional license is based on education and years of experience and can be earned by qualifying geologists, geophysicists and geochemists. This certification qualifies our geologists to perform geoscientific review and evaluation and to protect the natural resources of the state in their roles as consultants and managers providing scientific services. We are proud of this distinction and proud of our professional geoscientists.
